As many of you know we have an Amazon Wish List where wonderful people buy things the chimps need or items that go to our daily operations. In these weird times, like many of you might know, things are limited on Amazon or may take a while to ship. We use gloves and disinfectant everyday, but we are going through them more quickly now. We started running low on gloves and other cleaning items that are super important to protect the chimps, which worried us a bit! Luckily, Jerrol’s, a local store nearby Ellensburg, had every thing we needed and were fully stocked. We ordered gloves and disinfectant in minutes! If you are ever curious how you can help the chimps please check out our Amazon Wish List or if you would like to help us during this weird time you can buy a gift card to Jerrol’s to help us purchase gloves and other day to day cleaning items we may need!
To be honest, it was hard to get photos of the chimps today. They were either baking in the warm Green House or scattered on the Hill. However, I managed to snap a few good ones of Annie grooming herself in the toasty warm green house.
This photo was captured right as the seven received access to Young’s Hill this morning.
Burrito taking a stroll.
Negra right before she decided it wasn’t quite warm enough yet.
Jamie on her after dinner walk, also walking the opposite direction than normal.

It’s so lovely you have such a supportive community. I have begun to wonder if Burrito’s feet are his compass and with the loss of a toe his sense of direction has gone wrong side up, or North side South, or …

I have been worried about you being able to purchase cleaning supplies, gloves, wipes, hand sanitizer, and masks. I know none of these items have been available on Amazon or any place around where I live — not for weeks. I’ve seen other sanctuaries requesting help in finding them. Very worrisome. Thank goodness you have a connection for now! I have also been impressed with the healthy food you have for the chimps, hope you have no troubles in the future keeping your kitchen well stocked. When considering essential operations I hope sanctuaries are prioritized on the list of those needing and having access to these important items. I hope and hope for so many things these days….
You did get great photos of this beautiful sunny day for the chimps. Such a treat to see all seven outside at once (even if Neggie didn’t last long!).
Please take care of yourselves, stay healthy, and know I am thinking of you every single day. Can’t thank you enough for being there.

A rare sight, all 7 outdoors seen in ONE photo.

I might be doing something wrong when I view the CSNW Amazon Wish List, all that shows up in gift cards. Are there other items you are in need of; or am I not looking in the right spot? I used the link in this blog post. 🙂

I meant to type, all that shows up “is” gift cards. 😉

Hi Jordan, you are not doing anything wrong! It looks like people have been busy on the wish list. I am going to be updating it today, so keep a lookout! Thank you for your support 🙂
