As I type this, Foxie is recovering uneventfully from anesthesia after a full workup.
Diana mentioned a while back that Foxie hadn’t been feeling well, and while she did get her appetite and energy back it took longer than we would have liked and thus warranted further investigation. As many of you know, we’ve long referred to Foxie as “Tiny” due to her diminutive stature. She simply can’t afford to get too much tinier.
As always, we are grateful to Dr. Erin as well as the medical and veterinary professionals that volunteered their time and expertise to help ensure that Foxie stays well.

We’ll know more once we run labs and consult with other specialists on the imaging, but so far we haven’t seen anything alarming. And her recovery from the procedure has been great – before she had even regained enough balance to walk, she managed to find and hold onto a Dora the Explorer doll. For the rest of the afternoon she’ll sip Sprite and rest up, and then hopefully get a good night’s sleep so that she can rejoin her family in the morning. Jody, in particular, did not want to leave her side this morning and will be relieved to be with her again.
Sending good thoughts and prayers for Foxie and the best test results possible. Hang in there girl! We ? you!!
We LOVE you!! Foxie
Oh we hope she is OK. Poor girl. How sweet that she has Dora for company as she recovers from the testing. Thank you all for the wonderful care you give to them.
Speedy recovery Foxie. You have the best caregivers there to make it possible. For the rest of day and night Dora the explorer will be there to comfort you until your back with all your friends.
oh, thanks. J.B. 🙁
This has been at the back of my mind since you Diana mentioned it…..and I haven’t seen her in many of the usual photos. I don’t like to see my tiny friend sick.
Was there no indication at all of what it could be?
Special thanks to Dr. Erin and Co. for coming to you in these trying times. Seems like that new clinic is paying for itself very quickly!
You guys take such excellent care of the Chimp people. Brings tears to my eyes to know Foxie — and the others — are held in such love. Thank you.
and maybe good ol’ Jo deserves 1 sip of Sprite, in payment of nurse maid duties ..
Oh dear, my heart skipped a beat or two upon seeing your headline in my email. Thanks J.B. for the update on our little friend. Foxie looks a little groggy in the top photo, even the Sprite isn’t putting the twinkle back in her eyes. But I’m super relieved to hear nothing significant was discovered, whew. As always in these matters, I send a loving “Thank You” to Dr. Erin and her team (and this includes you too Anthony). Thank goodness Dora was there, ready and waiting for Foixe as she made her way out of the anesthesia fog. Precious girl. I will wait patiently for a good report from her testing today. Fingers crossed. xoxoxoxo
Hi, Kathleen,
I was thinking the exact same thing about the missing twinkle in her eye. And then the bottom photo showed me a tiny bit of twinkle coming back. I do so hope there is nothing wrong with our little Foxie girl.
She’s the reason I’m here in the 1st place
What a blessing the clinic has been this year. I can’t imagine the added stress and discomfort for everyone not to be mention that it can increase the risk of mistakes or missing things. I smiled about Foxie still gassed up reaching for a doll. I’d be the same, for a warm blanket. I hope all is well!
Poor little Fox. I’ve been worried about her too.
I’m sending love and kisses her way.
Dear sweet Foxy, I hope she recovers from her exam and there is nothing wrong that can’t be fixed; I hope and pray all is well. Thank you all for your great care and love for these beautiful animals! ????????
Love C
Feel better Foxie girl. Sending super duper healing, hugs and love.
My girl! I’m holding my breath until there’s more info. Hoping nothing less than good! Sending love and virtual hugs to my best gal. xoxo
Headline and first photo of a groggy little girl broke my heat. It’s because of a story I read on my computer about Foxie that I was introduced to CSNW so I have a special place in my heart for HER. Hope the results won’t show anything to be worried about.
Prayers and good thoughts are sent Foxies way. It sounded like all would be OK.
