There are a lot of lovely moments we capture on the camera that might not fit with the day’s blog or are too close to a photo we have just used. We each keep a set of moments we haven’t had a chance to share in a file on the Chimp House computer’s desktop. Here’s an assortment of some unseen moments of sanctuary!
This photo was taken just a few weeks ago. We love all these sightings of our tiny wild neighbors:
Foxie and a quiet moment with a troll doll last spring:
Jamie using a chopstick as a tool to get some peanut butter out of an enrichment tube:
Missy enjoying last winter’s snow bounty:
And lastly Negra enjoying the green bounty on Young’s Hill (two? years ago).

Thank you for sharing these proverbial “hard-to-fit-in-a particular-context” photographs. I trust that you will share that portrait of Jamie with the Boss herself; it seems to capture her intelligence. I assume that Missy’s palate was satisfied, and that Negra and Dora enjoyed each other’s company.

If only there was a way to include a peek of your ‘Photos From The Vault’ at your next auction. I have a funny feeling many would love to contribute to have the mere privilege of seeing these images. : ). Thank you for sharing these essential moments from the chimps day to day lives. Just look at Jamie, does she ever take a bad photo?! I swear I can see her wheels spinning from the glimmer in those beautiful eyes. And I always welcome a photo of Neggie enjoying her sweet grass on the hill. Thanks for sharing these images Anna, feel free to dive into your vault anytime!
