Foxie is Here to Play!

August 16, 2019 by Kelsi

Happy Friday! Finally, you’ve made it to the weekend! I thought I would help us all slide into this weekend with a fun video of Foxie playing. Foxie loves to interact with her chimp & human friends! She knows how to loosen individuals up and get them to relax and be silly. Foxie can even get Jamie to stop monitoring the humans and play! Foxie really does enjoy seeking out her human caregivers. As you will see in the video Foxie’s play style allows her to be perfectly happy playing with chimps, humans, or even just enjoying alone time with her dolls!

I love that she is always so joyful! It seems that she and Missy might be the most resilient of the bunch, with Burrito close behind!

Wonderful video showing the time and effort of caretakers (who have many chores to do to keep the Sanctuary running,) playing with the chimps. I couldn’t help thinking about the when Foxie and Friends were in a windowless steel cage with nothing to do 24-7 but wait for the next experiment on them.

Her flip made my day, actually her build up to the flip was the best. What a tease. Who knew there were so many uses for dolls?! I especially enjoyed Foxie enjoying game of shaking her doll, although I would refer to it as more of a throttling!

I am so grateful that Foxie made it home from my dream, and caught up with Dora and Troll for some playtime together. Her flip is a perfect 10!
