Meet Honey B!

August 30, 2019 by Kelsi

We are still getting to know Honey B, but so far she has been silly, curious, and sweet; though there is some underlying sass coming out! We can tell/have been warned that Honey is extremely intelligent! Right now she is just having fun and getting to know her environment and these new people around her. Honey B really seems to enjoy spending her time in the Mezzanine and looking out the windows. She is a grooming aficionado! Honey B makes these amazing noises while she grooms you and is very enthusiastic to do so! Honey B is a diligent cleaner, loves to play in big sheets of paper and roll around in them. She also likes bedding sheets and will cover herself with one and kick and roll underneath it (ghost Honey B anyone?)! Honey B seems to really enjoy onions of any form, but especially green onions! Here she is today enjoying a snow cone made with some fresh watermelon juice.

P.S. Don’t forget to go to check out the online auction! There is a beautiful metal photo of Foxie that has caught my eye!

I started following chimps NW, Chimp Project in GA., and the Sanctuary in Louisiana all rescuing these amazing animals. I can watch over and over the releases into the compounds and how the chimpanzees respond to the outdoors for the first time it has to be rewarding the work you all do and is much appreciated I hope you can rescue and retire all of the chimpanzees still in labs and attractions and I encourage everyone to watch the post and videos and help with giving a peaceful retirement to these wonderful animals!
My favorite is Burrito and can watch him eating tomatoes and onions way to much!
Thanks for the work all the sanctuary’s are doing!

Honey B is exquisite! What a beautiful Chimpanzee. We love getting to know the three new chimps and look forward to the introductions with the seven. It will be as exciting as the opening of Young’s Hill. We are in the edge of our seats!

Really loving the getting to know them posts…. Thank you all… so much … This is truly an addition to our lives that so many of us value… just watching from afar the gloriousness of the 7.. and the 3… and someday … (wishing it smooth sailing for) the 10 🙂

Honey B looks like a sweet girl, and just like her mom Missy, she likes to play ghost. Must be in their DNA. Can’t wait to hear more about how Intelligent she is! It must be such fun getting to know them.

I had to laugh upon reading that Honey B likes to play “ghost” too. Like mother, like daughter. One of the very first videos I saw when I became aware of (and fell in love with) the CSNW chimpanzees is one from Jan. 2017, “Missy the Ghost”. It is a must-see! I can’t wait for the sequel, starring Honey B.

    Hi Kelsi!
Since Mr. Willy B enjoys videos and slinkies, here’s a couple of links to YouTube (1-2 min each) with people doing incredible things with slinkies……music’s not salsa, but oh well!
