The Boot Book Fiend

May 9, 2019 by Kelsi

As you all may know, Jamie has quite the collection of boots and a pretty broad library. Jamie started her morning in a big comfy nest surrounded by some educational reading material and a few good boots. What she didn’t know was that there were a pair of boots coming to her in the mail! Jamie has been intrigued with this style of boot for some time, so you could say she was thrilled to find out they were hers.

Say hello to Jamie’s newest addition, Vegan Dr. Martens (photo taken after we already wore them around the Hill):

Jamie this morning with a bonobo book:

And some bonus photos because I mean just look at these chimps!

I love to see Jamie reaping the benefits of social media!
Has she started to order dinner from the food magazines yet!? 😀

I see that spring in Cle Elum lasts about a week or two, same as here in Rhody….you go from snow to wearing shorts three weeks later!

What size boots should we send since Boss Jamie makes her keepers wear the boots for their walk first.

At Xmas, they had two sizes on the wish list….one said size 8 (“for Jamie”), and the other was a 10. I’m guessing Jamie wears the 8, but don’t know for sure. Lol, job requirement “Must be shoe size 8 or 10”

Jamie is a girl sfter my own heart when it comes to boots. You can tell how happy and proud she is with it stuck in her pelvic pocket. But what I love the most their her style Vegan, ????who needs leather. Not Jamie. You go girl.

Awesome! Vegan Docs! How’d I miss this? I always say I learn something new from reading your blog and now I find myself learning fashion tips along with my primate behavior lessons. I mean where else can you do this?! I have to get a pair of those boots (Confession, I have had a pair of Doc Martens in my closet since 1980, even a pair of Doc and Pendleton joining forces, and now I can get a pair that is vegan, SO excited). It is hard to say who enjoyed the boots more, you Kelsi or Jamie. ; ) Love the video and photos.

I got a vegan purse a few years ago in Spain…was surprised to see the price tag on it, when there were vendors literally outside the door of the department store, selling belts and purses. Honestly, I can’t say that vegan “leather” will hold up as well as real leather.

I can’t help but say, again & again, how much I enjoy all the blog photographs posted every day…They always seem to come with such lovely interesting “stories” about the Chimps, & they simply endear all seven of them to us even more & more…

    Thank you kindly,

    Debi

Jamie is guiding my fashion sense now… I love Docs but didn’t realize those existed! Maybe she can get some kickbacks for the sanctuary for the advertising and purchases her taste inspires 🙂 The relaxation these photos shows is just remarkable… all of us who “rescue” any type of critter… (and yes, who rescues whom) know that seeing that level of relaxation is just pure heart-warming amazing-ness!!!!
