We have tendency to collect short clips of the chimps that can’t quite act as stand alone videos. Today felt like the right time to make a compilation of the adventures of Missy Chimpanzee (taken from the last couple of weeks).

Great idea!
And hard, with a subject who’s always in motion!
I think her looking in the mirror is the most I’ve seen her hold still! (not that we want her to hold still)

Wonderful compilation.. very intimate way for us to get to know her better.. 🙂 Thank you as always!

I secretly call her “Magnificent Missy”, because she is magnificent. Not just because she came through her last minute surgery and made it in the transfer van to WA as planned, not just because she is the most athletic gal I know (human and chimps included in this) and not just because she is a good, longtime-loyal BFF to Annie, AND not just because she seems to be a very cool chimps chimp (and she wears socks!) but because she has the most adorable little bod I have seen and a face that is so uniquely Miss-a-fied you can’t help but smile when you see her. She is a moving joy-bomb!
Thanks for making this little Missy video. Much appreciated! : )

I cannot get enough of the videos! I have two questions that may have been answered in a blog I missed but one how did they come by their names, and two, do they respond to their names?
Linda says
Unofficial response from a fellow reader/viewer, but I believe they came with the names (they were written next to their lab cages) and yes, they know their names……”respond” is, well, like they’re expected to respond, when they’re usually not required to (but check out the video on “Jody helping out”
