Thanks for the gifts!

February 27, 2019 by Anna

Earlier this month we put out a special request to our supporters to help us come up with little projects for Jamie to work on. Let me tell you, we had some enthusiastic responses from our donors! She’s received satchels, file folders, folios, cases, specially crafted photos, picture books, colored pencils and much much more! While we can’t always get videos or photos of her enjoying all her new enrichment, we did catch her enjoying her newest journal just this morning.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has helped enrich the boss!

I just love these pictures of my dear Jamie. She looks as if she really knows what she is writing. I thank you for sharing the results of your enrichment drive on her behalf with us. I was wondering what people came up with. Do send us more pictures of Jamie and her new projects. I bet the people who sent them go crazy with joy when they see her using something they sent her.

So true, commenters. I went crazy with joy when I saw her enjoying some of the stuff in the messenger bag I sent…told everyone I know about it. And I’m so happy to see Jamie concentrating as she writes in her journal. Amazing lady!!!

The commenter is so right! I am crazy with joy to see Jamie using the journal I sent her. And is she actually looking at the New Yorker magazines? She’s got good taste. This is too much fun! Please let us know if you want/need anything else. Thanks for the photos and update.

I agree! I’d be over the moon to see Jamie enjoying me gifts, though I know you’ve had a busy week or two. Keep the photos and videos coming! Glad she’s entertained!

…and…I see Jamie is writing like my son did when he was little…starting with left hand and then changing to right as he went across the page. That makes me happy too! And…this is such a great progression of photos, top, Jamie’s thinking about it, before she puts her thoughts to paper. Masterful job of photography!

Fantastic, simply fantastic seeing Jamie enjoying her gifts. And Jamie is ambidextrous. I just know she’s writing something truly amazing with illustrations to accompany her story.

Please tell Jamie I am still collecting a few things, I haven’t forgotten her! XOXO

Wonderful pictures. Too many people think animals don’t have the capability of emotions or thinking. Jamie shows that she most definitely has a mind and uses intelligence in her daily life. She has a determined look on her face, concentrating on her activity. I love all of the pictures you post. It’s so interesting seeing the individual personalities of each chimp and how they deal with their daily routines. Thank you.
