Happy 6th Birthday, Robert!

February 6, 2019 by Diana

Robin made a special sponsor-a-day donation today to celebrate young Robert’s 6th birthday and to also honor the birth of his cousin Luke!

Thank you, Robin! We hope Robert and Luke have a terrific day that includes time to play and time to rest.

A happy birthday to your son!
I love this series…….top photo: “Nothing to see here, nope, carry on.”
The others are what happens when you turn your back. So glad someone plays with the playful Mr. B!

Actually, the two children are the grandchildren of my friend. When I met Robert for the
first time last Sept. 30 (Luke was still in utero), he was the only child among one hundred
or so guests at a gathering. To keep him amused, I showed his mother and him my
photographs of Jamie and Jody. immediately, his eyes widened like saucers: “Can we go to the park and see them?”, he asked. As we were in a suburb of Indianapolis, I had to explain that Jody, Jamie and Co. live on the side of a mountain far away, but that his mother might be able to find more about how they live on their very own website. Once again, it is a heartening experience to tell children his age about other primates, who, after all, are our “Next of Kin” in the Animal world.
