A calm December

December 20, 2018 by Anna

Heavy rains and mild temperatures have changed the December landscape at the sanctuary. Last week’s snow has all but melted away and the chimps have been taking full advantage of Young’s Hill. All but Negra were eager to start their exploration first thing this morning.

They are truly a sight to behold on the hill. I remember the first day. The overwhelming joy was incredible but they were understandably leary. Some had never touched the ground before or seen the open sky. Now look at them! They are secure adventures of the hill. Don and I are proud of them with each new step they take!

I cannot tell you how much these blogs make me happy to watch! Know what would be the est?
If there was a 2-hour movie of all of them. 🙂 I can never get enough. Thank you!

Young’s Hill is so beautiful, only to be made more beautiful by the chimps exploring the grounds. And Annie’s sweet Bed head — that makes everything more delightful!
