Is there anything better than watching happy chimpanzees do nothing at all?

Oh my gosh – this is a delightful video. How relaxed and serene they are. Wish I could sit that calmly and just “be”! Thank you for all the love and good care you give these precious chimpanzees. And thank you for your wonderful videos. I look forward to your posts every day ! 😀 <3 <3 <3

I agree totally with the previous posts. It is always a joy to see the Missy, Negra, Annie, and their friends. I love that Negra and Dr. Missy fist-bumped each other after the doctor’s examination at the end of the video; adorable (I notice as well the feet of a troll doll on Negra’s person…I find it heartening to see her carrying her carrying them around).

Dolls have been popular lately. 🙂 Negra has been carrying them around every so often (today she carried one all day), and Jody has been adding them to her night-time nests.

I also love the fist-bump. Are they making the squeaky noise ? I don’t think that I have heard that before.

Yes! That’s Annie (off camera) making her “bird noises”. Check out this video: https://chimpsnw.org/2015/02/annies-bird-noises/

That was such a treat, thank you. Made me feel peaceful watching everyone, until the fist bump. The fist bump totally cracked me up, along with Annie and her squeaky bird noises in the background! Oh to be a fly on the wall of the chimp house everyday……

When Mehta and Missy were interacting it sounded like one of them was making bird sounds. Unless it was my tv, but if it was one of them, does that mean anything in chimp language? I am so amazed at how all the chimps when their interacting one on one how gentle they are with each other. You can tell how adjusted and happy they are in the sanctuary being able to do what they want on their terms. All of you are doing such a great job making sure they are happy and healthy.

Negra and Missy are so gentle with each other, such trusted friendship when their one and one. Was one of then making bird noises. If so, does that mean anything in the chimp world? The whole staff has done a tremendous job the last ten years with all of the chimps. You can tell how happy they are living their life on their terms. You’ll all angels.

Sorry for two of the same reply, but somehow when I put Negrasnane in my it was automatically changed I guess my correction doesn’t recognize her name. Didn’t know how to delete so wrote another one. I got to get a little more tech saavy.
