Fire hose knots

July 24, 2018 by Anna

We borrowed this enrichment idea from another sanctuary (thanks Project Chimps!) Caregivers put nuts in lengths of fire hose and tie off the ends. Each chimp has their own technique for solving the food puzzle, but recently Jamie has really honed her skills.

I don’t like to dwell on the life that the Chimps experienced before coming to CSNW. But it sure feels good to see where they are now.

Wow. Just wow. I wonder if Jamie will help the others figure it out. For a “fee” of course!

They look as though they’re performing for the camera. Hahahahaha

What a joy this video is to watch. A few months back, someone asked if Foxie and Burrito were more than just friends. I answered that I thought that they were just pals. After seeing this video, I’m inclined to reverse my opinion: I think that they were/are made for each other. The groom may groom the bride, and vice versa.

How can you not laugh along with them. The sweet sound of breathy pant laughter is music to my ears.

I can’t remember, does Jamie tie knots or bows?
Thank you to all the volunteers for your time. Very special people.
