Sounds of spring

March 6, 2018 by Anna

The noises that accompany springtime have started to return to the sanctuary. This morning Negra was on high alert, alarm calling at the sound of a raucous bird making noise to the east side of the sanctuary.

Jody is always good for a reassuring hug, this is her concerned face as she rushed up to her good friend Negra:

Most of the other chimps delegated themselves to lookout duty. Here’s Missy:

Once the coast was clear, morning exploration could recommence! Missy(left) and Annie (right):

LOVE, LOVE LOVE the new site design. And to think I thought it was all so perfect before. Now look at it! I can now enjoy photos of my seven friends in a larger format so needless to say I am thrilled. Bravo to the designers and Technical Gurus who created the look and functionality of the site. Well done.

You can’t beat kicking off the new website with a photo of Negra peeking outside. Sigh. We know how Negra loves little birdies too. It is so endearing to see them all working together to ensure everyone is safe and sound. All’s well that ends well. 😁

I am very much relieved to see that the website is up and running. I was very worried over the past two days that something bad had occurred to either the residents or their employees. Although my sigh of relief doesn’t have the same melody as the bird chirps which caught the Queen’s attention, I a glad that springtime is returning to Young’s Hill, and that the Queen and Her Royal Subjects are able to enjoy the greening.
