The season of Negra

April 12, 2016 by Anna

If Negra could choose a season of the year to keep forever, I am almost certain she would choose Spring. The grass is green and ripe for the picking and the temperature is not too hot and not too cold (Negra is the Goldilocks of weather). Springtime offers just about the perfect conditions to clamber out of her nest and venture out onto Young’s Hill. What could possibly make a day outside even better for Negra you might wonder? The answer would definitely have to be a forage involving one of her favorite foods, lettuce!

I agree with the lovely Queen Negra, spring is a wonderful time of year. It’s so nice to see her enjoying being outside.

I am a Negra-Goldilocks kind of gal myself. I too prefer lovely Spring, cool and sunny and not too cold or too hot. Seeing Negra foraging for her favorite delicacies makes my heart sing! Thank you for introducing her to Spring and all of its bounty!
