Trolls becoming real

September 12, 2015 by Diana

From the Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams: “Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.”

Here’s a troll doll who is in the process of becoming real, thanks to the love of one Foxie Chimpanzee:

Some of my favorite lines from The Velveteen Rabbit. How wonderful that Foxie can live them everyday!

Beautiful quote. I love how the pink hair is just hanging on by a thread :-).

Diana you seem to find exactly the right words for each situation. I love the pictures and how the troll dolls are such good companions to Foxie and some of the other chimps as well.

That is a well loved and very real troll doll. Foxie has made her beautiful! And Foxie is beautiful too!

Diana, How beautifully said and how touching are the photos of Foxie, free of her demons and enjoying the hill with her loved and treasured troll doll. What could be better? Nothing!
