Though not rare, I still love watching these quiet and loving moments between Annie and Missy. If you are having a bad or stressful day, this video will make it better:

Friends are wonderful!
Absolutely adorable – thank you for sharing!
Im curious if each of the 7 have a grooming noise that is specific to them individually? Or is it a case by case thing? Is the same true for all chimps, that you might know of?
Hi Kerri. Good question! Even with the music, you could see that Annie was making noises. Each chimpanzee does seem to have a “go to” noise, but will use others. For example, Annie generally does the “bronx cheer” noise while grooming, but when she’s really focused on something interesting, she will sometimes teeth clack.
That was so endearing! Aren’t they both lucky to have each other. So cute when Annie takes Missy’s little foot into her hands. Sigh…..
very sweet, having a bff makes life worth living
