Jamie and Foxie in a Chimpanzee Pretzel

Chimpanzee Pretzel Play

November 15, 2014 by Diana

We have said it before – and I’ll say it again now – no one, whether human or chimpanzee, can bring out the goofiness in Jamie like Foxie can. This video is a must-see if you need a little boost to your day.

And here’s that chimpanzee pretzel photo:

    Interesting –
Jamie likes to tease Foxie by taking her beloved prided possession the troll ~

Question for Diana or JR ?

Q/ Is there specific reasons why CSNW – chose to get a Mobile Vet Clinic
instead of of creating and actual – Vets Medical Center Building
equipped with a OR and RR area, etc,
Wouldn’t a building be stronger , built to specifications and long lasting

The main reasons were time and cost. We wanted to be able to have a fully equipped on-site clinic for emergencies and planned procedures as quickly as possible. We are a young organization with a fairly tight budget, and it would have taken quite a while to raise the funds to add a building like you describe. We certainly looked into this option, but in the end we felt that we shouldn’t wait for such an important project. We were able to get a fully operational clinic set up at a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time it would have taken to raise the funds and construct a new building. Although this wasn’t as big of a consideration, at the time, other chimpanzees were still living at nearby CHCI, and we thought there might be a possibility of sharing our clinic / equipment with them. We may decide at some point in the future to have the clinic in a permanent structure, but we are very happy and grateful to donors who made it possible to have the fabulous mobile clinic that we have now.

That was so amusing! A perfect description too. I couldn’t tell where Foxie started and Jamie ended! I love seeing them have so much fun with each other. I have been so remiss at stopping by for my daily dose of chimpanzee – this was a wonderful piece at which to come back in!
