Private conversations

June 18, 2014 by Katelyn

Foxie has good friends. Over the past several days she has been gifted with French Dora, Russia Dora, and Tanzania Dora dolls! They are quick to lose their worldly accoutrements but Foxie couldn’t love them more. While I am not entirely sure what makes one Dora “better” in the eyes of Foxie than another, it seems these are the perfect size for passing through the caging with caregivers, holding in one’s feet during meals, and general ease of portability. She has been utterly smitten with each of them and we have found her gazing adoringly at them on several occasions.

No cultural barriers here. Foxie and her Doras of the world seem to be speaking their own language.

Thank you so much to everyone who has sent these Dora dolls to Foxie! She has been a very happy chimp lady!

Hmmm…In the first 2 photos, isn’t that the Dora in the last photo lying headless there on the left lol? Does Foxie still like her dolls if they lose their heads?

Amy, that poor Dora is actually an older one she received some time ago. But there’s something about these particular Doras (size I think) because yes, Foxie still loved that headless Dora for quite some time.

It’s good to know that Foxie doesn’t discriminate based on whether the dolls have heads. 😉

They’re all her babies! A mama’s love is absolute. 🙂

Perhaps they will have to re-name the Troll Olympics to the Headless Dora Olympics?? 🙂 Which btw, will that be an ongoing event or is that postponed for awhile? I would love to add a headless Dora doll to my trophy collection! 🙂

Or maybe they could start a new event: The Beheading. People would compete to see who can rip the head off dolls the fastest. 🙂

Hi Chris, Yes! We will be hosting the Doggie and Troll Olympics again, along with AARF Animal Rescue, on July 19th in Roslyn! More info to come soon. 🙂

OR whoever rips the head off the most dolls in a set period of time wins! 🙂

    Hi,

Is Foxie ever interested in non-human like dolls? Even the trolls remind me of the human lab workers. Has someone ever sent her a chimp or other animal doll and how did she react? And is it always the little dolls she can carry on her back?

    Thanks,
    Larissa
