Friends

April 14, 2014 by Elizabeth

Burrito can be a little intimidated by the other chimpanzees. Because of his social anxiety, he tends to play much more with his human friends than with his chimpanzee family, but he and Foxie have a special friendship (learn more about that here).

That Foxie, still holding her troll doll in her foot while wrestling! Love it and Burrito & Foxie! ?

I’m curious… I am amazed at how gentle all of the chimps are when they are playing. Do they ever play rough with each other. I don’t mean fighting, just rough and tumble play.

Absolutely! Here’s a great video of Foxie and Jamie in a pretty boisterous play session: https://chimpsnw.org/2010/05/foxie-and-jamies-epic-play-session/

I’m also amazed at how gentle they can play. I’m glad to see Burrito enjoy play time with Foxie!
