Spiderweb Day

February 13, 2012 by Debbie

Today Jackie and I set up a giant spiderweb in the playroom with some ribbon and crepe paper. Foxie was pretty entertained! She spent at least 45 minutes pulling and slapping the web.

Ooooo….I absolutely love them!! They seem to have so much fun with the spiderweb. Great enrichment!

What a wonderful setup, Debbie & Jackie. How fun to watch their reactions—how did Burrito respond! Thanks for the video and photos.

Burrito went straight upstairs, probably looking for some forage (we scattered some air-popped popcorn). While we were taking video and pictures, I could hear the crepe paper sliding along the floor – I think he caught some streamer on himself and just kept moving. Regardless of how it happened, the upstairs spiderweb was the first to go. Downstairs, though, was still resembling a spiderweb when we left at the end of the day!

One of my favorite enrichment vidoes ever. What a fantastic idea. Thank you for sharing!

And to think three years ago Foxie would not have even touched any enrichment that was put out. It is so good to see her actually playing and enjoying all these things. I am always so inspired by her strong will and her ability to over come her past.

Great video and pictures! Of course you know I could watch Foxie all day but Jamie was kind of cute too! And yes, Denice, I thought the same thing about Foxie, it is so good to see her playing in the enrichment and making a mess.

What a great idea! Foxie clearly had a blast and Jamie started sewing again! Her sewing reminds me of crocheting. I wonder what she’d do with a big fat plastic crochet hook and some yarn!
