The perils of being a leader

April 6, 2011 by Elizabeth

Jamie is a fascinating individual. She takes her job as boss very seriously, so she’s usually so busy keeping everyone (chimp and human) on their toes that she doesn’t have much time to relax. Yesterday, though, Jackie caught her in a rare quiet moment.

That doesn’t look like a cowboy boot in her hip pocket…..did she steal a doll away from Foxie??

Yes, I thought that looked like a troll at her side, too! Wonderful photos, Jackie. She looks so sweet.

Oh, beautiful James……she has a special calmness in her eyes in these moments that is so nice to see. It’s hard work being the boss of everyone….. 🙂

What a peaceful face. I think I’m spoiled now. I see other chimpanzees on other sites or videos but they don’t have the same attractiveness and sweetness that these 7 do. Such a beautiful famly. I feel so much love for my friends. 🙂

thanks for posting the pictures. They are so great. I never realized that Jamie was the leader of the group. She is so beautiful. She was so much at peace there. To Brenna these 7 are absolutely awesome. I love all chimps. What type of doll did she have, trolls don’t have that much hair. God bless all you guys do for these 7. God bless the 7 chimps. Hugs , love and hoots to them.

Being the boss is hard work. Jamie may look relaxed but I guarantee her mind is going a mile a minute. Such a gorgeous girl!
