Signs of progress

April 18, 2011 by J.B.

Today, our excavator laid the driveway that will lead up to the gate on Young’s Hill, the chimps’ new 2-acre enclosure. Tomorrow, we’ll begin digging the 1,200 foot long trench along the primary fence line. Spring is finally here!

This is so exciting. Just imagine the day when the CE7 will be able to see the sky without bars. They will be able to roam two acres at will and look over the valley. I for one can’t wait to see the day.

    Wowee-Wow-Wow!!!

Marie, I though the platforms look grea and I can see in my mind a few chimps standing on those platforms. Have you removed a greenhouse panel so the chimps can watch all of the activity?

This is off the subject, but the April calender picture of Foxie is a fantastic photo of our playful friend, we usually don’t see this side of Foxie,

Not yet, but hopefully soon. This spring has been colder than usual.

It’s always exciting for me when I drive by and can see the progress from the road. We are all so excited for the chimps. This is just wonderful!
