Glamour Magazine article

April 2, 2011 by Diana

Sarah, CSNW’s Executive Director, appears, along with Burrito, in the May issue of Glamour magazine. The article is not online, so go get your copy today!

Here’s the title and description of the article from Glamour: (p. 211) She’s a Hero to Animals: One woman’s undercover work to expose the shocking abuse of show business chimps.

And here’s a photo of Sarah getting prepped for the photo shoot back in December:

Wow, that’s great news! I’m glad you’re getting recognition for the work you did, Sarah. I think you should write a book about your experiences.

What Sarah witnessed and wrote about is the most important and compelling evidence to stop using chimps in entertainment and advertising. It must have been mentally agonizing to witness to someone who loves chimps. You did a great job, Sarah and you deserve to be recognized for that!

Congratulations Sarah. This is an excellent article that showcases your commitment and compassion. I showed the article to several of the staff at our local grocery market on Bainbridge who are animal advocats. And, of course, Burrito was manificient looking and also a sweet photo of Missy.

This is wonderful…..our gratitude, Sarah and the folks at CSNW for helping get the word out to the world. Change can only come through education and awareness of which you all are so committed to.

    Thank-you so much!

Good news – in the past Glamour magazine itself had used chimpanzees in photo shoots – great to see the change in position!

Well done Sarah and the CSNW team!

I haven’t bought Glamour since I was in my early 20’s mumble-mumble years ago, but I bought the May issue at Walgreens. Great picture! short but nice article. I’m sorry Sarah witnessed what she did and that it affected her so. She is a true HERO! Burrito looks so cute in the picture too!
