Playful Jody

December 6, 2010 by Jackie

In one of our recent blog comments, the topic of whether or not Foxie likes any other types of dolls (other than troll dolls) came up. Diana explained that for the most part, it seems like Foxie doesn’t like stuffed animals and that she and Jody will sometimes team up and violently shred them. Though I’ve seen Jody do this many times, Diana saying that reminded me of this clip I caught on Thanksgiving Day. Maybe it’s a love/hate kind of thing…?

I buy my Goldendoodle used plush toys by the armful from Value Village. He carries them around for a few days, then rips them into shreds. He loves doing it and the toys are only a buck each so I let him have them. I just clean up to fluff along the way. I figure that it saves my shoes, etc and allows him to have his prey drive met. He especially likes the ones that are well used with all kinds of scents on them. Have you given the chimps any used plush toys? They might find it interesting.

      Hi Kat,

We have given the chimps a whole variety of stuffed toys (except for those with beads) and the results are almost always the same. 🙂

I love that Jody loves stuffed animals, there have been a few photos of her love for them. I’m glad to see Foxie touching the stuffed animal, usually she doesn’t like soft items.

Is anyone still avoiding the wood chips outside?

This morning I had plugged in my iPod into my t.v. to watch a show I’d downloaded. I unplugged it from the t.v. and all of a sudden I heard this noise, the sound on the t.v. was muted, I tried to figure out where this noise was coming from. I glanced down at my iPod and I’d accidentally pushed a button to play a video and it was Foxie “smacking” on her chewing gum. This brought a smile to my face and a little chuckle seeing Foxie, so, enjoying her chewing gum. I download some of the CSNW videos onto my iPod and I look at them when I need a smile. Once, I even showed some CSNW videos to children who were waiting for their allergy shots at the same time I was waiting to get mine.

I love this story, Candy! There’s really nothing more awesome than watching Foxie smack her gum. 🙂

Re: you question about the wood chips: I spotted Foxie avoiding them the other day, but I think everyone else is somewhat adjusted to the change.
