He seems so relaxed and trusting and content these days. Plus his hair looks shiny and healthy. You guys are doing a fabulous job caring for our chimp people.

Burrito! I think I have a crush on Burrito, he’s awfully cute. I agree, he is looking so happy and content these days. SO great!

I notice in recent photos of Burrito that his hair is not as puffed up as it used to be. I used to call him the “little bottle brush”. Thank nick name would not apply now. Is this evidence that he is more settled and calm?

He still gets “pilo erect” (the technical term for “puffed up”) pretty regularly, but that’s a normal chimp behavior that all chimps exhibit when they are excited or worked up about something. Maybe he has more mellow moments, but he’s still the “little bottle brush” when he’s displaying or excited about what’s for dinner (or breakfast, or lunch). 🙂
