I love the sound of the wind chimes in the background. 🙂
Go Jamie!

Happy Birthday, Karen!!! The chimps are so lucky to have you in their lives (and vice versa!). 🙂

HAPPY B’DAY KAREN!! Our chimps are truly blessed by another amazing human!!
That Jamie is something else!! The Army Corp. of Engineers could use her on putting that final levy back together in New Orleans. She’s a master!!

Hi folks! This brings to mind something I’ve often wondered… do the chimps drink that much or do they prefer to consume water through food (like fruits and veggies)?
Hi Jen,
The amount of water the chimps drink is comparable to the amount humans drink. We have water spigots set up throughout the building so they can drink whenever they want to. However, the bottles were exciting because they were filled with Pear juice: a group favorite! 🙂

A hundred-thousand thankyous for the tremendous way in which you honored my 75th birthday! I’ve never felt so honored and humbled. How I wish I were physically well and younger and able to participate in all of the countless daily chores of caring for our beloved chimp family. I feel warmly embraced by them and all of you and will never forget what you have done for me. Sincere thanks to my wonderful “chimp family” (humans and non-humans). With great love, Karen.
P.S. Of course my birthday wish is, and has always been, for an end to all suffering, including the suffering of air, earth, water, trees and other vegetation and other life forms…those that fly, swim, swing through trees, walk upright, crawl, slither, hop or, like me and barnacles, are attached to one place. (Any left out is unintentional!)
