Goofing around

June 2, 2010 by Elizabeth

People sometimes ask how we play with the chimpanzees if we don’t enter the enclosure with them. Exhibit 1:

There’s nothing like a happy chimp and caregiver to bring a smile to your face.

That’s such a fun exercise routine!!!! No wonder you guys are in such great shape!!

LOL – a game of tag-across-the-fencing, combined with Simon Says! Foxie’s gymnastics are a clear reminder of just how strong the chimps are – lest you be tempted to high-five and end up with your fingers caught in an unforgiving grip. But it’s also pretty clear that, even with the restrictions of safe play, Foxie is having a lot of fun. 🙂

Wow! You 2 ladies wore me out just watching the running back and forth!! 🙂

Such a sight to see. Wish I could get an adorable chimp to tickle my elbow with her foot!!

Diana, you are so lucky!! (I’m doing a very, heavy sigh of envy right now………)

I wonder who is having the most fun……..??? But then I guess it doesn’t matter.

I must be wonderful to have the best job in the world. I can easily imagine spending every day playing and caring for them. I would absolutely love it! Being tickled with a foot would be a great day in my book.

I love how Foxie twirls around. I’ve seen her do it in many videos…..a sure sign that she is having fun, fun, fun.

Wow, now that is what I call best-buds right there. How absolutely wonderful! I think we could all use a pair of adorable feet just like those on our arm everyday. 🙂

I loved it when she slid across the floor, belly first…so great!

I love the little slide. Wish I had prehensile toes too – that looked like fun.
