The chimpanzees are still loving their chimp-proof window. Foxie, in particular, has been hanging out near the window while we clean the playroom in the morning. Here’s a video of her and Diana goofing off.

How sweet! It’s obvious Foxie enjoys Diana’s company. The kiss was especially heartwarming.

Oh Foxie…………..
What I love about Foxie.
She is never without her beloved Troll doll(s) and has even been know to delay a meal as she goes back to retrieve a Troll (or two). How she rubs her toes together, usually during a meal and usually her left foot but not unknown to rub the right toes together, always her thumb toe rubs the index toe. How she hated to walk on the wet straw (before the green house was completed). How she will nod her head up and down (yes) to say she does NOT want any celery. How she will jump from the bench to the caging (in room 4) to accept something she might like during a meal (only to scare the poo out of me for jumping at the caging). How she spins and twirls when she is happy and fun loving. How she can put 13 (or more) pieces of chow in her mouth. How when she see’s a troll she want’s she will clap her hands together and stomp her feet. How when doing her “fathom nesting” she claps her hands together and pulls enrichment towards her. How when in a fun loving mood she will do acrobatic moves that only Cirque du Soleil would be proud of. How when she finally trusts you she will give you one of her Trolls. How she will play “throw the troll” to you only to watch you time and time again try to throw the Troll back to her. How she will carry a Troll on her back as she would have one of her may babies that she never had the chance to raise (She would have been a good mother in my opinion, very attentive).

Denice ~ I loved reading your “What I love about Foxie” post! It’s heartwarming to read all of the things about Foxie that are special to you! 🙂 Thank you!!
I get the feeling that Foxie would love to give Diana a real hug and kiss without the window in her way. This is a very sweet video!

Denice, I LOVED your post, too! Thank you for sharing so much about Foxie with us. I laughed out loud at the part about her jumping from the bench to the caging. 🙂 Hmmmm, let’s see, we’ve had a great “Denice bio” on Foxie and Negra now. I shall look forward to five more installments in the future. 🙂 As for this video, I keep a list of my all-time favorites, and this one definitely made the cut. What a sweet and intimate moment caught on tape. Thank you for sharing. 🙂

Thanks Denice for another great post, it’s greatly appreciated. I know we’re not suppose to have favorites, but do the chimps have favorite caregivers? There seems to be such a connection between Foxie and Diana, how blessed you all are.
Diana, loved your hair pulled back, great cheekbones!
