Why it’s called enrichment

January 16, 2010 by Diana

Foxie loves troll dolls and seems to always be thinking  of new things to do with them. The video below shows her playing with me this morning. Clearly, the term “enrichment” applies to troll dolls – they certainly do enrich Foxie’s life (and mine as a result).

Oh Diana, that was so wonderful!! Foxie is such an imp and makes me walk around with a big grin on my face whenever I think about her. Now I have these antics to add to my memory. You go Foxie!!!

I would like to send the chimpanzees some pecans from Texas, still in the shell. Would this be possible?
I enjoy your blog and videos a great deal and would love to see them enjoying some of our pecans.
    Thank you so much,

Me too, Amy! Can you imagine what we could do with their feet? I would love it!

Me three Amy & T !!!! I think chimp feet are the greatest things ever! Just think of all the multi-tasking we could do with those!!!

Ah yes……………………..the ever popular “hairless troll in the empty plastic butter tub” game. So much fun to watch!

Man, if I had those chimp feet and could multi-multi task at work, my boss would have to give me a raise!! Amazing to watch!!

Foxie really liked the troll-in-a-bucket. Personally I think she has some musical talent – it looked like she was really listening to the tone and beat made by her plastic-in-plastic rattle. And man, I wish i could do yoga like Foxie – what a pose!

Like I have commented before – I think that the troll-in-a-bucket game looks painful, and appears to be cruel and exploitative. For the troll.

I had to laugh out loud when Foxie turned upside down. What happened to the troll’s hair?

D.K. – the chimps would very much enjoy pecans in the shell – thank you!

Amy – most of the trolls are stripped of clothing and scalped in short order. Foxie strokes the hair of new trolls, but we’ve witnessed Jamie removing it. So we tend to blame Jamie for all of the scalping.

To Amy Goldshine, go to the 09-21-2009 blog and on the video you’ll see Jamie scalping a troll doll.

I had a good laugh at Foxie’s excitement with her troll doll and her antics with the tub. You go girl.
