YOU did it!

December 14, 2009 by Diana

Yay!! Big thanks to Barb in Ohio for her generous pledge for the last $$ needed for the window fund. You’ve raised the money needed to replace one of the caged windows with clear chimp-proof glass!

Thank you to Anna K. for initiating this window fundraising and to Denice, Jill K., Julie H., Gayle B., Theresa, Jeani, Candy, Kathy B., Leslie S., Sue and Jack, Stephanie P., Steph and Kurt, Donna A. and now Barb in Ohio. What a wonderful x-mas gift for the chimpanzees! Thank you also to an anonymous donor and friend who is sending a cash gift for the sanctuary and offered to have that gift go towards the window, if needed. The Cle Elum Seven have the best supporters!

There was a big snowstorm overnight, so winter is here. We’ll keep you updated on the timeline for installing the window. In the meantime, be thinking of Negra’s new view and another window for Jody to lick 🙂

Wooohooo! Yipppeee! LOL – I’m just giddy with excitement.

THANK YOU!!! {{{{I am so grateful for all the people who jumped in to make this happen! And to all the folks at CSNW who kept the ball rolling, too!}}}} Cyber-hugs all around! Your halos all shine just a bit more today. 🙂

May your holidays be as bright and joyful as the chimps will be when a new window lets them see the world outside without bars.

KEITH: I bet you didn’t realize, when you were beginning the sanctuary, that your endeavor would bring together so many people across the U.S. and beyond. Very nice, indeed!

CSNW: Have you all decided where to place this new window?

YAY!!! Great job supporters! I can’t wait to see Negra’s reaction. Merry Christmas to the Cle Elum Seven! I can’t think of a better gift to give these wonderful chimps.

We should try to select a project challenge twice a year (or 4 times) to achieve, there’s power in numbers.
    I’m up for it, Donna

Hope you can catch Jody’s inaugural lick for the blog!

I asked my sister (an animal rights advocate) this year to contribute to CSNW as my Hanukkah gift. I have no idea if she’ll send in a donation or purchase something on the website but I intend to make this request on an annual basis, since I have no need for any more stuff and would love the chimps to be my designated gift recipients, even if it’s just for a dinner 🙂 I’m sure there will be other projects next year – maybe you can designate one of them our special gift(s) to the gang?

Peace be with all of you this holiday season and a chimp-happy new year!

I’m with you Donna. I was thinking the same thing.
    Happy Holidays to all.

Donna, I think that’s a great idea! I would really like to see the Seven outside outside with a solar powered electric fence where they could climb trees and walk in the grass. That’s my dream for them. I’m not sure what that would cost or if CSNW has plans for this in the future, but wouldn’t that be wonderful?!!!

Donna, I think that is wonderful!! And Tamela I like your idea! That is 3 of us on board so how about it bloggers?!?
    Merry Christmas everyone!

    Diana,
What would you like to see us help you achieve? And lets set a new goal for say March 2010 or ? I think we can make things happen.
