Giant Teddy Bear

December 13, 2009 by Jackie

Before we gave the chimpanzees the giant teddy bear seen in this blog post, we introduced him to the chimps. Unfortunately, the camera just missed capturing Missy giving the bear a chimpanzee ‘head nod’, which is a greeting for chimps, but clearly, Foxie, Jody, Annie, and Burrito enjoyed him as well. Thanks, Dana Alan for donating him to the chimps!

I think the bear needs a name. The head bobbing with Foxie was too funny and cute. It amazes me that they didn’t seem afraid of it but compared to the “alligator incident” of 12-02-2008 they want him as a new buddy.

Foxie’s head bobbing was so funny! I caught myself bobbing my own head everytime she bobbed hers! Nooooooo, these wonderful chimps have no hold on me……………..except 24 hours a day! The little finger wave at the very end was priceless!! Thx for the great video Jackie!!

Thank you Linda for admitting you bobbed your head along with Foxie, so did I, couldn’t help it.

I think everyone is bobbing along with Foxie! I’m glad to see Foxie is accepting this bear. I can just picture the head nod from Missy. Thanks for this wonderful video.

LOL! I head bobbed too! I can remember a very early video of a stuffed monkey getting water spit on it. So did Diana since she was holding it. Foxie’s excitement brought a huge smile my face. I can also picture Missy greeting the bear with a bob. These chimps bring me so much joy to see them so happy!

That’s phenomenal. I have seen other chimps playing with one another in the same manner, they jump up and down and show their smiles, sometimes laughing uncontrollably. Did any of them laughed out loud while they played with the bear from far away?
