More on the Valentine’s Day happenings

February 16, 2009 by Diana

Lest you think that the chimpanzees had too laid-back of a day, they also had a romp outside before dinner.

Jamie was sporting a new look

Jamie wearing headband around neck

Jody climbed up to the cargo net outside and discovered a pecan in the shell, which she brought back down with her

At dinner, we set up yet another forage, which included the strawberries Pam made

Peanut butter Valentine's strawberries

Pam even packaged them in these cute take-out containers

Jody with "take out" strawberries

I guess Jody was the star of the day. This is her in her typical super-relaxed pose. Ahhh – Valentine’s Day

WOW, been gone a few days and it feels like eons!! So much partying, so many happy “people”. Jodi looks so content and what more can we say about the resident fashionista! Love goes a long way, it’s great to celebrate their first holiday celebrating love, they have a lot of catching up to do and we’re doing our best to keep the love coming every day!!!

May you experience love every day, dear “seven”, for the rest of your lives. We will do all we can to make sure that is true.

Oh these are just great photos, thank you Diana! That Jamie and her love of fashion – it’s always so much fun to see. The strawberries looked really good! And how cute is that picture of Jody all crashed out?!

I continue to be so, so happy for the beloved “seven!” May you always be happy, healthy & loved! And thanks so much to all the staff for what you do for these wonderful animals!

Jamie is such an “arteest”! I love her bohemian looks. I am rapidly developing quite an affection for this lady (in addition to Foxie). I absolutely love watching the videos – it helps me stay in connection to these gals and guy even though I’m across the country. I just love the lying-around-enjoying-life shots. I think all the staff who put in the time and effort to care for these folks are incredible special people – you’re helping these chimps understand *some* people are good, loving, and trustworthy.

Our chimp people are the perfect illustration of the old saying, “living well is the best revenge.” 🙂

Oh Amy, that is SO right. I am glad you said that.

Jamie is truly a fashionata. Such great taste! I love the pictures especially Jody relaxed and content. I imagine none of the seven relaxed at all prior to coming to CSNW. The fact they are now says it all. Love goes a long way in healing!

I’ve been waiting for a picture of Jody with her feet up in the air because I came across this acronym and thought of Jody, it fits her perfectly. FUTAB which means “Feet Up, Take a Break.” So Jody was in her FUTAB position, good for her.

Candace – that is so perfect! Jody has mastered FUTAB!
