A game of catch

January 14, 2009 by Sarah

Another very nice feature of the facility here is that the chimps can reach their arms out between the pipes that make the “roof” of the outdoor area. Since it’s high up in the air, the chimps can’t reach out and grab us (yay) but they can reach out to throw stuff at us (also yay?!). Foxie has a game where she throws her troll baby to us through the roof, and we catch the baby and send him/her back. Here are some closeups!

That looks like the soft bodied troll doll I sent, I cannot believe it is lasting so long, I thought for sure the head would be off by now LOL 🙂

I was wondering if they would like the soft body trolls. This is the first time I have them with one. I think I have one in the box of trolls dolls to bring over in the spring.

I love that the chimps are interacting with staff more and more. They now know that there are good people in the world that are not out to hurt them. I would love nothing more than to be there to play catch with Foxie. I am grateful to the staff of CSNW for sharing the chimps with us on a daily basis. Reading about them, watching the videos and looking at the pictures on the blog are truly a highlight of my day and something I look forward to each day and I am never disappointed with the entries.

Theresa I agree with everything you said and you said it perfectly. I think we should name the group of people who diligently search for troll dolls, the “Troll Patrol”?

It looks like you had another beautiful day at the sanctuary today. How nice to see the blue sky!

Kathy this troll is a ballerina large soft troll, her face is hard but her body is soft, she is extra large too, like 13 inches, that is why I thought Foxie would be able to snuggle with her more,. Diana emailed me and said she just loves it, and that is what it is all about! I have it set on ebay for troll updates…they send me troll updates everyday!
