Chimps and tea!

December 17, 2008 by Sarah

There was a lot of interest about the chimps drinking tea yesterday! Here’s another picture of Jamie. We like to give them hot tea to warm up their bellies. And – lucky for us – the good folks at Yogi Tea like to help! They provide the chimps with all the tea they can drink! So next time you’re craving a cup, go check out our friends!

How hot is too hot for the chimps? What do they do if it’s too hot for them? Do they just let it cool down? Do they blow on it like we do?

how great! The creator of Yogi Teas, Yogi Bhajan was a huge lover of animals and I am sure is smiling from Heaven seeing the chimps enjoy the YogiTeas!

Jamie looks great…you can see the steam coming from her cup of tea…I too am always drinking hot beverages when it is cold outside. I see only 9 pals left to go to reach the goal that is FANTASTIC….13 days and 9 pals….I sure do hope you all reach the goal you set, the banana ideal was great too! What are the percentages on the pal list for each chimp, who needs more pals then the other, I can change mine if I have too, I would love to see it pretty even , wouldn’t you, as I said eariler I was Foxie’s pal until the mix up on the signup page now I am Negra’s but I see it says Foxie needs pals, so can you maybe tell us who needs more pals to even out the numbers because they are all LOVED equally that is for sure!

What an awesome photo! When I stare at it for just a minute, I really feel like I’m right there. Too bad we can’t bundle them up in snowmobile suits and take them sledding 😉 They’re so bloody smart, I bet if there was a hill in the enclosure and a sled, they’d figure it out! Or…..hey, instead of a snowman, can you guys make a snowchimp? You could use nuts and fruits to make eyes, a nose and a mouth….bet it wouldn’t take long before Jamie or Missy ate the goodies right off of the snowchimp! So good to know that for the chimps who are preferring to stay inside where it’s warm, that they have lots of “indoor activities” to keep them entertained.

Thank you to Yogi Tea for their generosity. It looks like the chimps really enjoy drinking it. It’s a good way to warm them up and tea is soothing. Jamie sure seems to love it. I would love to see a snowman built and watch their reaction. Raisins and nuts poked all over it would be great! I bet even Burrito would come out into the snow then.
