Another New Lens!

November 29, 2008 by J.B.

We received a new telephoto camera lens from a wonderful supporter and friend of the chimps. We’re still trying to get the hang of it (it’s heavy!), but we managed to snap a few photos today as the chimps enjoyed a break in the gloomy weather we’ve been having lately. We are so grateful for donations like these that help us share the chimps’ stories with the rest of the world. Thank you Kathy!

JB those are wonderful shots! I just can’t get enough of these wonderful chimps. Foxie, as always, is so precious and these closeups just prove my point. Thank you.

Aren’t these photos great! We spent a wonderful few days and Thanksgiving with our chimpanzee friends, volunteering doing kitchen and laundry duties. It is SUCH a priviledge to be able to do this! Preparing TG dinner….tofurkey and all…..for the chimpanzees was one of the highlights of my (Margaret) life! It was great to see JB trying out the new lens. WHAT a great gift that we can all enjoy. Happy Thanksgiving (belatedly) to all our Blog Friends. Oh yes, we call ourselves CCC’s!

Oh Margaret, I thought about you and Karen and how lucky to be sharing your time on Thanksgiving. I’m really looking forward to going tomorrow. The chimps are looking better each day and so happy. What a blessing to watch these wonderful lives unfold and enjoy living. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Karen.

The lens is awesome and everyone is looking even more healthy as time goes on. How wonderful for you – Margaret and Karen – to get to share such a wonderful time with the chimps. It is such a special time to prepare meals and do laundry for such deserving beings! Such amazing pictures!!

Wow, Kathy, that’s such a wonderful gift!! Just look at these beautiful photos!! It’s so close-up to Burrito that I just want to kiss that nose….but I’m sure he wouldn’t like that!! 🙂 Margaret & Karen ~ it’s so nice to know that you were spending Thanksgiving with the Cle Elum 7. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving to you both, too!!

Hi all! Wow have I ever missed a TON!!! Just arrived back in town very late last night – will write more tomorrow – as you’ve all mentioned….one of the things that I am the very most thankful for in my life, is the Sanctuary – including the chimps, the staff and the bloggers. I feel so truly blessed to be connected with every single primate soul involved. Thank you from the depths of my heart. Shelly K.
