More beautiful photos of the Cle Elum Seven

June 13, 2008 by Diana

Can you believe how beautiful these chimpanzees are? Imagine how great they will look once they have soaked in the sun, their hair has filled out, and their muscles are stronger. They are a remarkably calm group and they are adjusting so well to their new environment – as though they’ve been here for months. The window which looks down the driveway is definitely the current favored spot by all, and the mural painting that volunteer Julie Nealey of Posh Pallette designed and volunteer Kim Michaels painted just a couple of weeks ago makes an incredible backdrop for these photo portraits of our new friends. Scroll over the photos to see the names of the chimpanzees.

THANK YOU for the awesome photos! It is SO good, to put faces to names for each of them. Space to move, feeling the warmth of sunshine, having their hair grow back and their muscles get stronger, not to mention no more testing or being bred and having their babies taken away to also be tested on. Everyone involved is doing the work of angels. Enjoy every minute of celebration ~ soak in that great feeling!

We can’t tell you how much it means to us to see these photos. The chimps looks fabulous and we’re loving imagining them sitting by the window that looks down the driveway and taking it all in. Thanks so much for postin1g them and for everything you guys are doing! A big congratulations

Wow. That’s all I can say. Wow. They all appear so settled and content…already. Amazing what freedom, respect, delicious fresh food, sunlight, cozy blankets….and even a few dogs romping in the drivway (I’m assuming) does for someone’s spirit. I could hardly wiat to wake up this morning and check out the blog. Thank you for taking the time….to allow us all to be a tiny part in this great celebration. And, yes….the painted background is beautifully perfect!!!!

    Peace. Kim

It’s so great to see these guys in their new home. I assume you have a plan for building an outdoor enclosure, or perhaps i missed it in the pics. How much more money do you need for an outdoor enclosure?
