It’s interesting, I follow several captive gorilla and chimp troops on YT, and I mainly see this “let’s go shopping”-move among infants (more often among gorillas than chimps), especially when the infants are insecure, scared or needs their mother’s presence and reassurance for other reason. I rarely (if ever) see it among adults.

I would like to call it “The Wheelbarrow”;
reminds me of a game we played as children, the one behind holding the legss of the one in front who would ‘walk’ on their hands.
