Play Hard, Sleep Hard

November 29, 2025 by Jenna

Since the winter days are short, it’s important to take advantage of every minute by doing what you love most. For Burrito, that’s playing by himself, often making the loudest noises possible, with a toy in his mouth. Later, when the sun goes down (at 4:30pm, of course), it’s time to crawl into bed. For Dora, that means it’s time to collect numerous blankets and other nesting materials (such as toys or paper) so she can begin to craft her nest for the night, carefully placing each item in the proper place for a good night of sleep.

Hooray! Our beloved Burrito is back and as silly as ever. Much as I love all of them, I’ve so missed seeing Bubba’s antics and games. Dora is an expert nest builder……when Jamie gives you that signal, she means go away and don’t film me doesn’t she? Is Dora just telling you she knows you’re there but it’s OK?

That was great! I was just saying I needed some goofy Burrito antics in my life. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Even though Burrito was enjoying the noise the canister made, he so wanted to get a good bounce out of it! I love him so. And Dora is a fine architect when it comes to nest building. But that one darn magazine page was a tricky fit! ๐Ÿ™‚

I too was wondering if Dora was preferring privacy by knocking on the glass, or if she was just letting you know that she knew you were there. Sheโ€™s simply adorable.

I took it as a “hey, ‘sup”. She would have been more insistent
