Thank you for the kind messages. In point of fact, my friend’s birthday is in August, although I suppose that one could say that today is a birthday of sorts. Becky’s mother (1929-1975) would, I think, be quite impressed that her daughter keeps such distinguished company in her social circle: ladies like Maeve, Dora, Beans, Raynie, and Lucky.

I am quite a bit late in seeing this and responding, , but thank you, Robin for the lovely gesture of remembrance of our mother. I think she would be amused at my home decorating eccentricities and how I unabashedly “weave in” pictures of my favorites chimps with photos of my “baby-grands.” It’s my “ministry”, you know, to beautify hearth and home and nothing warms my tablescapes as much those special chimp faces beaming back at me.
