After lunch you never quite know what the chimpanzees will be up to. Many are usually napping and occasionally there’s an afternoon skirmish that keeps everyone occupied. This afternoon was perfectly peaceful though, with many of the chimpanzees alert and interactive. A perfect moment to capture some portraits!

Thank you, Anna!
I’m always amazed that they approach you guys for grooming. It says something about how they see you with regards to their troop/family.
Btw, I can’t remember if we celebrated, as much as one can celebrate, that Limbani is now at Save the Chimps, and is no longer an Instagram/tourist photo model. Sad that he was ever there in the first place, but at least now he’s a chimp.
There is a lovely video on Save The Chimps’ social media of Limbani playing with Tuffy. It’s so good to see him getting to be a chimp.
Oh! And while we were celebrating George and birthdays, a little good news. Maybe not all we’d like, but progress. Regarding a certain person in Myrtle beach (iykyk)

oh thank you for that very important article. I can’t imagine how many wild chimpanzees were killed trying to protect those babies from being taken. Just makes me sick.
Beutiful portrwist of Terry and two of Honey B. Moving.
Thanks, Anna for peaceful moment photos. If anyone asks, I’d much prefer afternoon naps to skirmishes. And maybe finding an overlooked tomato.
Oh Anna, I wish I could be a roving photographer after everyone’s had lunch. What a fun thing to do. Everyone looks contented. But Honey B might be thinking up a little mischief!
