Honey B Turns 36!

June 11, 2025 by Kelsi

We wanted to say thank you to Paulette Wrisley for sponsoring the day in Honey B’s honor!

Today we celebrated the one and only Honey B’s  36th birthday, and true to form, she kept us all on our toes! She started the day by discovering a lock that was supposed to hold her enrichment boards to the mesh caging. While we prefer to keep the boards securely fastened, it’s not threat that she has it—but Honey B doesn’t need to know that, so let’s just keep it between us. She was clearly very pleased with herself, and honestly, it brought a big smile to our faces.

We filled Honey B’s day with all her favorite foods and treats! In the morning she had a forage of tiny brown bags filled with popcorn, raisins, and a very light drizzle of honey! For her big birthday party, we served plates of pasta with a homemade roasted pepper and onion sauce, non-dairy decaf frappuccinos, and a small forage with cherries, snap peas, radishes, and mini peppers.

Being around Honey B is never dull—she’s clever, curious, and always finding ways to surprise us. It’s truly an honor to know her and share in her unique and spunky spirit.

Keep an eye out for tomorrow’s blog, where we’ll share highlights from the group celebration—like George loving his pasta!

Happy birthday, Miss Honey Beans! Nothing like good food and drink on your special day! (And what would a Honey B party be without at least a little contraband?!)

Thanks, Paulette, for sponsoring Honey B’s day. Looks like pasta was in high demand for everyone. I lost count of how many overflowing plates i saw. The whole menu sounded fabulous. Who do i contact to cater my next party? Do you charge extra for forks,?
P.S. Nancy D., bet you wished you were there for all of Honey’s shenanagins.

I would have loved to be there to see her. I’m wondering what she will find to do with that lock. I’ll bet she thinks she is so clever to have found it. It has been a while since she caused any trouble, I’ll be waiting to hear about it when she does.

With any luck, the birthday girl can enjoy a bountiful forage, retrieving the mounds of pasta which fell to the ground during her natal day brunch. I wish her a happy and mischievous new year of living.

I imagine if Ms. Beans is not one for floor pasta, a certain Willy B would be happy to finish it off!

Happy Birthday to the one and only Pasta Queen Honey B!!

Question. Did anybody else get a plate of pasta or did the birthday girl eat them all?! Honey B was slurping down that pasta in record speed. I was thinking everyone else was only going to eat what slipped off her plates. Man, what a party! And HB made good use of that lock. She’s such a clever girl.

I thought the same thing, Kathleen. I was wondering if Willie B got any!
And wondering who loses in a food fight between Honey B and Willie B when the blue scooter is not in the room
