Chest Beats and Wild Feats

April 11, 2025 by Jenna

Terry has done some very impressive, unique displays in the past. The main event of these displays is chest-pounding and hitting his stomach for loud sound effects. I personally have only seen him do this type of display while out on The Bray, with it being directed towards Jamie’s group. Today, all the chimps had a lunch forage. Terry’s group was out on The Bray foraging while Jamie’s group was out on Young’s Hill. Missy always pays attention to the boys on the other side of the building. She gets very excited. However, she was not excited (nor was Annie or Negra) when Terry began displaying at them. They were not impressed, but I think Terry was quite satisfied. Check out today’s video!

    Teeny Tiny Terry,
    displays and thumps his chest;
    the neighbor ladies viewing him,
    were less than highly impressed.

      Teeny Tiny Terry,
      displayed in a state enthused;
      Alas, the Queen next door proclaimed,
      “Royal Subject, We Are Not Amused,”

    Terry, never mind if the gurks werent impressed, as long as you got a thrill out of thumping. Go Terry.

    Thanks, Jenna! That was something! At first I thought I thought it odd that I must have missed this a 1000 times before, but I’m glad you pointed out the unique nature. And those chest thumps were audible! To think that all this time, we’ve been calling Willy B “the gorilla” :smile:.

    You’ve gotta love Neggie’s spunk! Go get ’em, Queen!

    Wow! Very cool! Terry is embracing his inner King Kong! I’m impressed even though the neighbors seemed insulted by the display. Neggie was pounding the ground and I was half expecting her to deploy the Royal Decree Clap to request an end to Terry’s chest pounding. If Missy was requesting reassurance from Jamie, was she intimidated by Terry’s display?

      I thought the same, Kathleen, for fear that Majesty would thus be offended by the exhibition in Her Royal Purview.
