Terry liked the green beans that Burrito Picky Pabts didn’t, but he liked the black eyed peas even more!

Oh my! Foxy and Jamie take the stairs. But the Queen not along swings DOWN from the platform, she swang UP to the platform! Go, Neggie! You didn’t explode up there like Missy does, but you did it! As Kathleen always says, age in reverse!

I couldn’t tell who was up to swinging shenanigans over on the other side, swinging and kicking?

Yes, Linda….wasn’t it wonderful to see dear Neggie in action? I guess that when yummy food is the prize, she forgets her old bones for a while!

It was graceful, even. Slow, but well executed!

I’m pretty sure the swing and kick was courtesy of Honey B!

I wasn’t sure, and didn’t know if the full re-integration had been completed or not.
I also noticed Willy B loves his pomegranates!

Wow! Negra’s got moves! Just goes to show you that she can definitely move quick when she wants to!
Foxie’s little babysitting request while she was eating was also just too cute! And the way that Annie was picking up each pomegranite seed!
It seems the green beans were a little controversial on Jamie’s side, but Cy and Terry to the rescue!

And so the year kicks off to a great start at the sanctuary! Pomegranate, seeds and all, seem to be big hit with Negra’s group. And everyone, both sides, were digging into their black eyed peas with gusto! It’s always interesting to see who favors certain foods and who prefers another. Like Eli noted, those gorgeous looking green beans took third place to pomegranate and black eyed peas when it came to the original group, but Cy was holding on to his fistful with glee. And Willy B was excited but it appears he kept it all together without an outburst. I am also curious over the swing-in-kick to the window. Very funny. Who was it and what was all that about?! 🙂

Quick question, do you ever serve legumes at any other time? I can’t recall seeing them with the exception of New Years Day. They seem to enjoyed as much as pasta.

      I know!
I think they get their protein from legumes in their smoothies, though I’m not sure it’sveggie and not whey. And they also get veggie pasta when they’re celebrating. But you’re right, we don’t see beans other times. I think those mini peppers that they love filled with some refried or mashed beans might go over a treat if they’re baked.
      Edamame…
Beans help you feel full longer when you’re on an all veggie diet (but I’m sure they know that:slight_smile:).
