Bubba’s Big Day

August 17, 2024 by Sabrina

We’re incredibly fortunate here at CSNW to have such a wonderful community of generous donors. Their thoughtfully sent items bring endless joy to our chimpanzee residents. Recently we received a toy CAT dump truck and we immediately knew who would love to add this this toy truck to his collection of odds and ends.. Burrito!

We set up his new toy by the juice pool where we could get a good view of the action and Burrito did not disappoint! Once all the food puzzle enrichment was gone he quickly zeroed in on the new toy and immediately started dragging it around the playroom with him. With his new prized possession in tow, along with his trusty hammer, Burrito spent the morning exploring with his truck and hammer wherever his adventures took him.

Thank you to whoever gave the chimps such a fun toy. I was waiting for Burrito to sit on it and scoot around.

It looks like he hasn’t discovered the function of the wheels yet……

Burrito tried his best to park his booty in the driver’s seat!

Burrito has always had my heart.

    Thanks to the donor!
Sabrina, aren’t you afraid of the small pieces?

    Burrito loves it!
But the real question is: will it bounce?

Aww, bouncy Bubba! He sure keeps himself entertained, I love how he was seeing if he could bounce on it!
I wonder if Foxie might be interested in the little guy in the driver’s seat!

Oh i wish i could’ve seen him go for a little ride. He seems just like little boy when he gets new toys. But i noticed something when he brought it over. Does he have a slight tremor, or was it just a natural thing he does when excited. Don’t mean to darken the mood.. Just curious as i have a tremor myself. Thank you for what you do for these wonderful creatures. ? HEROES HEROES HEROES!

That’s Burrito’s thing. He always has one set of toes tappin’. It’s like a tic.

Thank you to the smart shopper who donated this cool truck! Burrito loves it! Annie did look interested in it but then I realized she was snacking on something in the bucket of the truck. When Burrito bounced on on the back of the truck I thought I’d die. I love him so….

Was that the Fun Police inspecting the truck or was she food peering on Annie?

I think that was Foxie! Most serious food peering ever!

Thank you, kind CAT donor! You mightn’t be able to see the absolute fun that Bubba is having with this delightful toy but you have certainly made his day. I wonder if Bubba will share his new toy with his pals. It’s heartwarming to see how much fun he has and he is so creative. Thanks for sharing.

I’m pretty new to watching and learning about all of these wonderful people. Why do you say you weren’t expecting the girls to be interested in the truck? What a wonderful organization you have! Thank you for the blogs.

I think it’s bc only Bubba really shows interest in toys, with the exception of Foxie and her dolls, a d occasional interest in a squishmallow from Neggie
