Foxie Doesn’t Care

October 5, 2022 by Kelsi

As caregiver Sofia and I were cleaning the Playroom I heard a knock on the share window by the Green House. When I looked over, it was Foxie with two dolls! I ran over to say hi through the window before going upstairs to squeegee, but then she knocked on the window one more time and erupted into a game of chase. I ran out telling Sofia I would be right back! Foxie did not care that we were cleaning, it was time to play. We chased for several minutes before she decided it was time to have her dolls back. However, before I could go back to help clean Jamie and Missy needed tomatoes from the garden, obviously!

On the other side of the building, Willy B has recovered very well! We have been starting the process of reintroducing Willy B back into his group. Because they are a relatively new group we need to slowly add Willy B back to ensure overall success and well-being. We have been doing play dates, but today we took the step of adding him into a small group overnight to make sure it goes okay. If all goes well he will be back with his group tomorrow!

Everyone has been so excited to see Willy B, his day has been full of grooming and playing chase :)!

It’s October, which means Jamieween is right around the corner! Make sure to keep checking on our Amazon Wish List for Jamie’s party!

    What fun, Kelsi! Yes, motion sickness there for a bit, thanks for the warning! Gotta love it when they entreat you to play instead of clean — who could resist? And that tomato ending is perfect. They got play time out of you and nibbles on favorites, too. I’d say these chimps are very grateful (and fortunate) to have you all and fully take advantage of your open-heartedness — thanks for offering them so much patience, understanding, love and playfulness, including your own giggles!

    Hahaha, Kelsi, on round 2, you thought you were going to get the short trip into Studio 4, but she made you go all the way around! Thanks for keeping my Foxie friend happy!

    Foxie, you are so funny. When she finally stopped running she seemed to say “oh my prescious dollies, you are finally back in my arms” then..whack, whack against the window. lol.

    There you are, running outside, upstairs, opening and closing doors at top speeds and we get a glimpse of Foxie moseying along as if she has all the time in the world to beat you to the greenhouse. What a workout for you! You’re the best, Kelsie. And I know Jamie, Missy, and Foxie agree.

    Happy to hear Willy B might be back within his group by tomorrow. I understand your reasons to take it slow. Hope all goes well for him.

    Yes Kelsi: :nauseated_face::cold_sweat::scream:
    When I saw today’s title I knew You were the one writing….
    Tough love Foxie has for her dolls…I always think of that video where she wacks them with a spoon.
    And good old Willy B.; I have been wondering how he is.
    That took quite some time healing eh? Glad to know his friends have missed him and he is ready to go back.

    Was the attempted grooming painful for Willy? How did he know to prevent his friends’ ministering?
    He is, BYW and IMHO, the most gorgeous chimpanzee!

    I am so impressed that you guys stop what you are doing to play with the chimps when they indicste they want to play. Just like the devoted mother who tunes into and adjusts to the child’s needs.

    Such fun to see Foxie running around and then to have a glimpse of what she does with her dolls.
