Spring fashion runway

March 30, 2020 by Katelyn

We always know spring has officially arrived when dear, sweet Annie breaks out her favorite spring fashion choice of wearing a sweatband around her waist. She only seems to do this when the warmer weather arrives. This morning after breakfast she and Missy were ripping around Young’s Hill and I just caught Annie zooming by in her bright yellow spring accessory as she tried to catch Missy, hooting all the way:

Jody is recovering well after yesterday’s trip to the clinic to address her foot injury, and according to her, quite ready to return to her friends. While it’ll be a bit before she is actually ready (according to the humans), she enjoys frequent visits from everyone as they check up on her and make sure she’s doing okay. Initially she had her foot in the air to show them, but when Dr. Missy made a move to groom it, Jody thought better of it and put her foot back down. Good thinking, Jo. Dr. Missy isn’t exactly known for her light touch when grooming injuries. 😉

Jody has impeccable taste in spring attire. I find this both fascinating as well as adorable. She’s obviously pumped about spring and I suppose adornment goes without saying. It’s just what a girl does when spring fever strikes.

I’m so happy to read your words Katelyn – to connect with the chimps through you and to see Annie in all her glory and see Jody with her visitors. It was especially helpful today to see this post.

Annie and her spring attire is simply too much. The fact that she wears her waist band only in warm weather is beyond me, but what a smile it brings to my face each year. Gotta admit, Annie looks fashionably sporty zooming about! Happy to know and see that Jody is feeling better and proud to be showing off her ouchie to the gang. Thanks for the great photos.

Oh, yes, I love Jo lifting her foot to show off her injury….too bad, once again, that Honey and her mom’s bestie can’t get along….I’d love to see them checking out each other’s head-er, waist- bands….so many shared interests, haha!

Thank you for this happy post. It’s wonderful to see Annie so excited about Spring and donning her bright yellow waistband. It is also great news to learn that Jody is recovering well and getting visits from her friends. Beautiful pictures Katelyn. Hugs to you all and stay safe.

Made my day… as always.. I’m going to don a yellow waistband and find a hill to race around on… Lots of healing to Farmer Jo… we need her skills more than ever! So much love and support to you all!

Your posts always always make my day. Especially now when our world is upside down these chimps bring such joy to my day. Thank you all for your continuous posts and bringing us virtually into a world we’d never know without you and the posse. Stay safe and again, thanks for the joy!

This post got me to thinking. How wonderful that these dear chimp people are able to visit one another when recovering. How brutal the labs were, with infliction of physical pain and then the psychic pain of no comfort from loved ones. How I pray for the day that every primate is finally given the blessing of sanctuary.
