If Negra is the Queen of the Cle Elum Seven, Jody is the Queen of Nest Building and Relaxation.
Jody is hands down the best nest builder I know. She is definitely an artist about it, and will often use as many as 20-30 blankets. We put out tons of new straw and alfalfa hay in the greenhouse yesterday, so Jody forewent the blankets and made herself an amazing nest right on the ground.

We aren’t completely sure but we believe she was born in Africa.

It is amazing to me that after decades of existing in a cage not much bigger than most showers with no materials to nest with that she is even cognizant of what a nest is let along being capable of constructing and enjoying these amazing nests. And she does enjoy them…….. As much as we enjoy watching her snuggle into one after the construction is complete.

Reminds me of when I was a child and used to build forts out of chairs and blankets. She is so smart. Love her.
