Quiet Afternoons

July 17, 2026 by Ellen Brady-McGaughey 3 Comments

Enjoy photos from a quiet Friday afternoon at the Sanctuary!

Lucky monitored her caregivers while we went about our afternoon tasks (including me taking photos for this blog!).

There was a lot of lounging going on elsewhere around the sanctuary…

Dora rests in a playroom.

Annie relaxes in the greenhouse.

Gordo in a signature lounging pose for him!

Later on, Gordo foraged for leftovers from lunch (and scored some leftover coconut, and sweet potato!).

Cy worked on a coconut from lunch.

And Terry spent some quality time grooming with his friend, Caregiver Krissy.

Sometimes, an uneventful day is just what the doctor ordered. Dora was probably a li’l “hungover” from playdates.

Quiet days are good days. It looks as if Lucky is The Boss lady of her group. Or perhaps she is The Boss lady of your group! 🙂 Either way it appears she had a front row seat to all the action and she was drinking it all in! It is lovely seeing everyone quietly enjoying their day in their own style.
