Sometimes caregivers go through their phones and realize they have so many pictures that they took and never used for our blog that they end up going to our staff folders and being forgotten. So instead I’m leaving some of my favorite photos from the last week here for you all to enjoy!

oh my goodness. So sweet and lovely. Thank you.
A quiet early summer day with Annie and Neggie sounds divine, Sabrina! Thanks!
This is beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you Sabrina for sharing photos of such lovely, happy faces.
I notice that Annie has a raised protuberance just beneath her right eye. Is there any idea what is the cause? An allergic reaction, or an insect bite? I hope that she recovers soon…after all, she’s an invaluable member of Team Negra.
I think she has had that for a long time Tobin, there are also some “lumps” on the inside of her thy.
I did ask a while ago, got no reply, so I assume it is not anythinkg scary.
Yes, Annie has had that lump for a number of years. It waxes and wanes some, but has never appeared to disturb her. Victoria, a chimpanzee at the Primate Rescue Center in Kentucky has a similar lump in the same place. We reached out to them and they have done needle biopsies of Victoria’s under eye lump and have found nothing, so the assumption is it’s a benign lipoma (fat tissue), which is also what is on Annie’s inner thigh.
Beautiful Annie, everybody’s favorite supermodel. Were Annie and Negra’s photos taken during the Trifecta celebrations? Annie and Neggie and Foxie and Dora’s photos needed to see the light. Please share “need to be seen” photos anytime!
Thankyou, Sabrina, for this delightful bounty of our beloved chimpanzees. The message from these darlings seems to be to live in the here and now. Peace and contentment and just “being” shines through in this amazing photo collection. An absolute gem.
