Blustery Thursday

April 2, 2026 by Anna

The wind is ripping through Central Washington today so most of us are staying cozy indoors for the day. Foxie and Negra were agreeable enough to let me take some photos of them with their respective treasured item of the day.

Today Foxie has been toting around a Princess Tiana doll (torso only of course).

Negra:

Negra seems to appreciate a good Eeyore stuffy:

These photographs capture the beauty in the faces — and eyes — of Foxie and Neggie. I am glad to see that Neggie could spend the a windy day inside with Eeyore.

I just checked the forecast for Cle Elum, and Easter Sunday and George’s first birthday at the Sanctuary promises to be somewhat sunny and pleasant for both a birthday party and an Easter grass hunt.

Princess Tiana don’t need no legs. Foxie’s gonna carry her everywhere!

Seriously, though, what happens to the occasional arm/leg, as I’ve noticed? Do they have to be tossed due to chewing? Could they be “Frankensteined”?

I see Neggie is still sleeping in the front room. Hope she’s doing better. Pity there isn’t a washable hammock/cot.

On a brisk and windy day, it’s nice to see both Foxie and Negra warm and safe and secure with a favorite toy. (Can a torso still be considered a toy?!) So sweet that Neggie is a fan of Eeyore. Maybe she would enjoy the book or movie “Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day”.
